discursive and argumentative essays
what are the differences between a discursive and an argumentative essay?
Firstly, in an argumentative essay we argue our own point of view, while in a discursive essay we discuss two possible points of view.
Secondly, the structure or organisation is different for these two, discursive essays have the same introduction, body and conclusion organsiation but in the introduction we generally talk about the topic and mention to the two opposing sides.
In the body of a discursive essay we firstly discuss one side of the question and then secondly discuss the other.
Finally, in cht conclusion we summarise our ideas and state our opinion on this topic.
As usual, we finish with a final thought.
